08 Jul Extraordinary
“We are not called by God to do extraordinary things, but to do ordinary things with extraordinary love.”
― Jean Vanier
Because of your partnership in Dream Centers’ mission, Mary’s Home is open, and families who were experiencing homelessness are now experiencing the extraordinary love of God through ordinary acts of compassion.
Since breaking ground in January of 2014, the apartment building called Casa Linda has been transformed into a beloved community where ultimately 14 women and 20 to 30 children at a time will experience incredible days of community and growth.
Three families are already walking that path and a fourth will in a week. We are committed to the discipline of slowly and orderly accepting women and their children until we reach full capacity.
Thanks to New Life Church for donating a van, and thanks to many supporters for the ministry that continues. I stopped in my tracks stunned as I saw the peace, joy and security on the children’s faces over the 4th of July weekend, and I was reminded by one mother to share how grateful she is to experience a new home and supportive community.
The Dream Centers team has been thanking God a lot for this opportunity to experience His rescuing love in community, and we’re so grateful for your important roles of prayer, giving and engaging in the mission to bring hope to the hopeless.
