A Christian counselor passionate about personal and cultural transformation, Rachael Flick, LPCC, NCC, speaks, leads, ministers and teaches on the healing power of wholeness through Jesus. A Kansas native, Rachael completed her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology at Kansas State University before receiving her Masters of Counseling degree at Colorado Christian University. Rachael has been an active member of the Colorado Springs community since 2006 upon attending the Focus Leadership Institute, founded by Focus on the Family and Dr. James Dobson.
Rachael met her husband, Micah, in 2007 and they welcomed their twins, Levi and Eliana in 2010. While Micah excelled in his career in law enforcement, Rachael co-coordinated a large MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) ministry at New Life Church. Here, in ministry, Rachael developed in leadership through creating authentic community, training leaders and facilitating women’s retreats.
Tragically, Rachael lost her husband of ten years on February 5, 2018. Deputy Sheriff Micah Flick was killed in the line of duty while attempting to arrest a car thief. Now, a young widow with two young children, Rachael is walking through her own journey of grief while challenging others to persevere and triumph through great loss. As she has clung to the promise of God’s faithfulness and restorative power, Rachael has discovered wisdom and authority found only in suffering. She shares her hope through her poignant and vulnerable style of storytelling. Come alongside Rachael and watch the transformative power of the living God who is bringing beauty from the ashes of her story every day.
